Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) – Men’s magazine has named Montgomery the best place to travel in 2022. The magazine article is geared toward the resilient traveler looking for optimism in this new year.
Of course, the Heritage Museum and National Peace and Justice Memorial are the first to catch the magazine’s attention and bring Men’s Journal’s travel journalists to the city several years ago. While they were here, they realized they needed to come back for more.
The article mentions Montgomery Biscuits and Riverwalk Stadium, along with Riverfront Park, as must-do items while you’re here. It also mentions the Civil Rights Movement, the home and church of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Rosa Parks Museum and Statue, and the courtroom where buses were legally incorporated.
The main reason the magazine put Montgomery at the top of the list is the city’s ability to connect its history with its present and future, with attractions like Goat Haus Biergarten and “More Than Tours” by Michael Browder.
